New Adopt account!

Hey y'all, Proto here with an announcement that I've not only made the decision to return to adopt making, but that from this point forward, adopts will be posted on my new alt account. I figure it's for the best that they don't dominate my main account, since they're not really my main focus.

The impossible happened.

Against my better judgement, I decided that I should probably bring adopts back because I've got a ton of old designs I don't plan on using that I need to get rid of. They're not gonna be free or points-based this time, I'm charging them with actual money. Sorry to disappoint all the free adopt enjoyers out there, but I'm a bit tight on cash and could use it.

So now that I'm back up on DA, I'm opening commissions up here too. There's not much right now but I plan on expanding things a little once I get the ball rolling. Please DM me if you're interested.

Proto's Return to DA

So yeah, my attempts at leaving DA to protest Eclipse didn't really work out as planned and I lost a chunk of my audience as a result because some people just really like using this site. I'm still not the biggest fan of how Eclipse looks, but I decided that I'll be uploading art here again. Don't take this as DA being where I'll be the most active, it's just that maybe it was a bad idea to turn my back on something useful to me.

Now that I'm back, I've got a sizable chunk of art that I've only uploaded on other sites that I'm gonna be uploading here. Please bear with me as I get through all this, there's quite a lot I've done in over a year that I haven't shared here. In addition my gallery's way overdue for some reorganization, especially since there's a bunch of OCs I'm putting in cold storage.

Honestly I can't say I expected to return here so soon but I'll make the most of it.

To everyone who's helped or befriended me in my 8 years at Deviantart…

Thank you. Thank you so much for sticking with me, giving me art advice, or sending me positive vibes when I felt bad. High honors to those who stuck with me from the early days even though I was a weird hormonal teen when I first started uploading my weird drawings to this site. Thank you for putting up with me through the awkward phase where I started overhauling so much stuff with my characters. On that note, thank you for putting up with the literal hundreds of adopt batches I would push out. It's been an honor being on this site with all of you. You've helped shape eight whole years of my damn life, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Here's to a lifetime of inspiration, wherever I'll be. I hope to see you all again someday. Goodbye.

So as you know, I'll be seriously cutting down my DA usage once Eclipse rolls around. As such, I feel like it's probably a good idea to make sure any unsold adopts I made get adopted, so I'm holding a sale. All adopts are now 50% off. If it's something that can't be divided easily, just ask me and I'll give a fair price. I'll try to link any open ones I find below so it's less of a headache to search for them. Keep in mind the rules for the old free adopts are outdated, refer to the rules on my latest free adopt batches before you adopt those. UPDATE: All adopts are now free, since I no longer have a use for points. Buy all you want!

So as you may know, #thesoundofsilencemovement is going on as we speak, with thousands of artists expressing their displeasure towards this change. I'll be protesting it at the beginning of May with everyone else, so you'll have to refer to my other social media if you want to contact me that day. Anyways, I'll be joining Ace-The-Artist (https://www.deviantart.com/ace-the-artist) those couple of days for a special protest stream where we'll have an open multidraw event. So DA decided to shoot itself in the foot by forcing everyone to switch to Eclipse next month, which means those of us who remain will all be forced to get used to a confusing layout with way too much empty space. I'll still be here on DA, but chances are I'll be using it a lot less because I'm very much not a fan of the Eclipse layout and forcing it upon the entire userbase was a very bad decision that doesn't sit well with me. I'll be a lot more active on other sites, ones that don't drop bombs like this on its users.
